Story

Heya, it’s your friend Orla O’Connor. Or as I’m now known, ‘Olra’ O’Connor.

I’m running a half marathon this weekend and in light of a recent misspelling of my name on my half marathon bib, have decided to raise money for the British Dyslexia Association.

I’ve been affected by dyslexia all my life, but recently it became an urgent issue. It brings tears to my eyes to think of all the kids that together we can help spell my name correctly. We can change the wolrd!

I’ve set the modest ambition of £200 but if you’ve ever suffered the injustice of having your name spelled wrong by someone in the grips of this savage condition, please give generously.

About the charity

We are the largest UK charity that supports people with dyslexia & their families, teachers & employers. We aim to change society by breaking through the barriers and enabling everyone with dyslexia to be acknowledged, accepted and empowered.
