Story
Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in July 2021. Subsequently he endured too many chemo sessions to count, stoically and always maintaining that there were many people worse off than him. In January 2022 we found out that his cancer was terminal. Even then he decided to continue chemo, in order to live through the summer to say goodbye to his friends and family. It was in that summer that I told him I would be running the marathon to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. Dad passed away in September 2022 at the age of 59.
Bowel Cancer UK are the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. They're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.Your support will help stop people dying of bowel cancer by funding vital services and lifesaving research.
Any money that could be contributed to this great cause would be massively appreciated.
