This september I am planning to trek through the himalayas all the way to the higher of two base camps on mt. Everest; it stands at 5,360 metres, nearly 1000m taller than Mont Blanc! 

 I am doing this as part of a university organised event in order to raise money for the charity Moving Mountains, which operates in Kenya and in Nepal. To date in Nepal, this charity has been working to provide and repair monasteries, schools, a hydro-electric power station and aiding local children in their education.
