Story
On 7th April 2024 I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). I will be running in the memory of my good friend’s brother, Matthew Cragg, who sadly passed away in 2014 of a sudden heart attack at a young age, and to help raise awareness of the issues surrounding cardiac conditions.
This will be my first half marathon and I hope it will be a good one. I won’t be doing it alone though and will be running with a couple of friends, Maisy and Miles. We have a team page which you should also check out.
Any and all donations are welcome and greatly appreciated, and with all of your help I hope we can smash our target. It’s gonna be a great day!
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
