John O'Groats to Lands End Cycle · 10 August 2017

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.

Story

Martin, Patrick and myself have been looking to ride the John o' Groats to Land's End for a few years now, and this summer everything has fallen in to place. On August 9th we will leave Somerset driving to the tip of Scotland before beginning our ride south, we are planning to average between 80 and 100 miles per day of the nearly 1000 mile total.

The three of us are avid about the outdoors, and can usually be found in the UK hills, caves and rivers, constantly seeking new adventures. We fully appreciate the truly essential services that our mountain rescue services provide on a daily basis to the general public. With this in mind we aim to raise as much money as possible for this incredible organisation, in order help them to maintain the service.

Mountain Rescue run 48 volunteer mountain rescue teams in England and Wales, any contribution, large or small will be massively appreciated.
