Story
My wonderful aunt, Ginda, was diagnosed with breast cancer just before Christmas. Ginda is the rock in our family: when I was born she moved in with my single mum and brought me up as her daughter. They still live happily together and are the best parents imaginable.
Luckily for all of us, they caught it relatively early -- but it's a horrible blow and she's facing 6 full months of debilitating chemo. Hearing the news brought home to me just how terrifying and isolating a cancer diagnosis must feel. The work Macmillan does supporting people through these darkest hours is truly inspirational, and I'm very proud to be running my first (and last) London marathon to support them.
Cover pic is of Ginda giving me away at my wedding, because I can't resist a wedding pic.
(For any fellow running nerds, I'm hoping to do it in 3 hours 30 mins.)
