Story
3 days after our son, Jude, was born, he became critically ill and spent the first month of his life being treated at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
While Jude was in hospital, The Sick Children's Trust provided us with a free place to stay in their ‘home from home’ Magnolia House. This took a huge weight off our shoulders, giving us one less thing to worry about, allowing us to channel all of our focus onto Jude.
In real terms, it saved us literally hundreds, maybe even thousands of pounds, and meant we could be at Jude’s bedside on the ward within 2 minutes of leaving our bedroom.
Last year, Tom (my fiancé/Jude’s dad) raised over £3500 for SCT. This money will provide around 100 nights in a ‘home from home’ for families facing the same situation/worries we did.
This year, I’m doing my bit to raise some money for the charity that is so close to our hearts, by running the 2023 Great North Run for SCT.
Any donations would be truly, so greatly appreciated, and I promise they will make such a difference to parents going through the very worst of times!
Thank you so much! 🥰
