Story

I am taking on the challenge of running the LONDON MARATHON this October to raise money to support the relief efforts in Ukraine by The Salvation Army.

Salvation Army personnel have been able to mobilise quickly at the borders of Ukraine to provide urgent supplies to those seeking refuge as a result of the ongoing violence.

All funds raised will go towards helping those that have been displaced as a result of the war, and some of the ways in which this has been implemented already include the following;

  • Providing emergency temporary accommodation, hot meals and access to Wi-Fi
  • Emotional support and advice to those seeking refuge
  • Supporting refugees that become victim to sex traffic abuse and exploitation
  • Protecting vulnerable people fleeing Ukraine from being forced into modern slavery human traffickers taking advantage of the chaos of war
  • Helping women who have given birth during the crisis with nappies, milk formula and hygiene products

Your support and donations would be greatly appreciated in order to raise as much as we can in support of this incredibly worthy cause.

Thank you!
