Story
This time last year I was preparing my JustGiving page for the Blenheim Fun Run and writing our story. A year on, and Marley is still at The Unicorn School. We have been waiting for the Tribunal system to hear our case, and we are now waiting for their answer. Things moves slowly in SEND Law, but sadly, children's development and education does not.
Marley and I are running to raise money for the Unicorn School because it is a wonderful, unique school that supports children like Marley who are dyslexic and would seriously struggle in a mainstream school. The staff at the Unicorn are brilliant at finding and drawing out the children's skills and talents, and enabling the children to believe in themselves as learners. We are so grateful to all the staff at The Unicorn for being open minded, kind and imaginative. You are forming the future of our children every day, and we are thankful for all that you do.
Last year Marley and Finley ran the 1 mile course. This year, Marley is taking on the 7km run. It's is going to be challenging (for both of us!) but he's determined. Finley is going to do the 1 mile run again. Pepper (our dog) is not going to run the course with us this time. She wants to gallop far faster than either of us can go, so she is going to cheer us on from the sidelines.
Wish us luck!
