Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brothers and I have been given the opportunity to do a tandem skydive with the Parachute Regiment Freefall team, The Red Devils, this summer. A skydive is something I've always been interested in doing as my grandfather was the founder of The Red Devils and, let's be honest, who doesn't want to be strapped to a strong man and jump out of a plane?! (Just to mention..the jump has been paid for so ALL donations made will go straight to Motivation!)
The money raised will be donated to a charity that has been close to my family for a very long time; Motivation. It is a small, Bristol based charity that designs and builds wheelchairs for people in underdeveloped countries. The charity designs wheelchairs to suit various individuals' lifestyles so that they can get around safely and easily to enable them to live life to the full and to get jobs. My uncle, Ian Gardener, was good friends with many of the Motivation team and was involved with lots of fundraising challenges, such as cycling the length of the Mekong River and walking across the Andes to the Amazon. Unfortunately his life was taken in a skiing accident 10 years ago but his adventurous spirit truly lives on through the family, especially in his young son Tom.
As house captain of Pears at school I have chosen Motivation for one of our four house charities, so any donations from school members are greatly appreciated.
My brothers, Edward and Will, and I would be so grateful for any donations made, small or large; it's all going to a good cause! If anyone would like to learn more about what Motivation do, this is their website: http://www.motivation.org.uk
