Story
Many thanks for taking your time to read my page! This summer I am taking part in the DUCK Nepal expedition and your help will be very useful! I will spend two weeks living and working within a Nepali community. Despite the many tourists that visit Nepal each year, it still remains one of the poorest countries in the world with more than half of the population living under the poverty line. The charity I will be working with will be ‘Future for Nepal’; they aim to provide children in Nepal with a better start in life in a safe environment where the needs of the children are provided for.
In order to raise the vast sum of money I have therefore signed up to complete the Edinburgh Marathon on the 26 May! Considering I am not a runner, this will be a very tough challenge so I will be extremely grateful for any money you would be able to give. I will also be doing other fundraising activities throughout the year so will keep you updated on how I am getting on. I hope to return having influenced other children’s lives and with many photos to bore you all with! THANK YOU :)
(The funds that are raised on this site will be donated directly to charity. I really would appreciate any donations, every little counts! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity).
