Story
Hi All,
As you know spinal research is a charity that is incredibly close to my heart! I am running the London Marathon 2023 to raise vital funds and in memory of my brother Danny, who suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury whilst playing rugby. Danny was a larger than life character, had the ability to light up any room he walked in to and had the most wicked sense of humour! He is dearly missed by all of his family and friends and I hope to do him proud running the marathon in memory of him again!
Any donations would be hugely appreciated, my family and I have seen first hand the effect that this can have on someone, not only physically but mentally too.
Spinal research continue to work tirelessly to try and find ways of improving the complex and unseen elements that come with suffering a spinal cord injury so please dig deep if you can!
Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the support of the public to raise funds for our research. Because of the efforts of our supporters, we have funded innovative medical research that has achieved a number of ground breaking changes in the field.
