Story
You may have noticed that we've been doing a bit of running lately?! We have already completed the London Winter Run, Cardiff Bay 10k, Newport 10k and had the first biggie on 27 May... the Edinburgh Half! We followed Edinburgh with the Barry Island 10k, Cardiff 10k and I’m sure I’ve missed one in between!
We now have the final big one of the year... the Cardiff Commonwealth Half! It’s a biggie for Lis because due to issues of a knee and fascia tendon nature, she has decided to call it a day on half marathons so this will be her last! This is a momentous run! We have done 100’s of miles together and completed dozens of races not to mention raised a lot of money in the process for Sarcoma so to decide to quit the longer races was a tough choice but the right way to go.
Therefore, if you have a few coins spare, we'd be grateful for your support but more importantly, we would value your prayers and positive thoughts to get us around the final race of the year!
We are raising funds to help Sarcoma UK, the only UK bone and soft tissue cancer charity, to raise awareness for early diagnosis and research into this form of cancer that took the life of Adam Jones in May 2014. Adam was a former Cardiff University student who was a fit and healthy 22 year old until Ewing's Sarcoma struck. We can make such a difference to survival rates in the future by working together. We already are as there has been a breakthrough in the last 12 months and our friend Erica is living proof that Sarcoma can be beaten!
