This will be my first ever marathon and to say I am nervous is an understatement but after my first charity meet up, I am pumped and excited to be a part of team sense.

I know for a fact I will be easy to spot in the large crowd of runners as I have an unfortunate issue that as soon as I run for at least a minute, my face represents a tomato. So if you will be there cheering me on and all the others keep an eye for a humanoid fruit. I'll make sure to update this page and my instagram (@thumbtaco) with my redness!

The reason I'm fundraising for Sense is I believe the work they do needs to be commended highly. They are a national charity that supports people with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together, we can unlock barriers to communication so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfil their potential.
