Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This year I am cycling with 11 amazing friends to raise money in memory of my son Oliver and in support of the beautiful Evie who is currently being supported by Little Bridge House, CHSW.
Oliver died when he was 11 at Little Harbour and Children’s Hospice Southwest did everything they could to help help and support, Oliver, Benjmain, Nicky and I. The support from Little Harbour and CHSW started long before Oliver died at the hospice in St Austell and continues to reach out to support his brother Benjamin and both Nicky and I. CHSW are our local Children’s Hospice and help so many local families across the Southwest, just like ours and Evie’s.
From Evie’s Mum: The charity for familes like mine mean we have a safe space to be totally ourselves. Have has much in put with Evie's cares or as little if we wish.. Life with a child with life limiting conditions or such complex needs is like a rollercoaster that never stops. the highs are highs but the lows feel like there is no end in sight. We have a space to put the meds down, the fluid charts away & forget about hospital for a while. The girls get to do sibling things they don't really get a chance to do. We get quality time together as a family making memories or just being present in the moment. Days roll into another & sleep is a luxury so being at the hospice we get to sleep at a normal hour, eat as a family & just be like anyone else for those few days. Skye has the sibling team to talk to if she's worried & Evie is cared for to the highest standard. Sometimes you have this sinking feeling when it's all getting on top of you & then you go to the hospice & all is put into perspective, you take yourself out of the situation & then you see things more clear so your ready to go again.
If you can spare any money please do so for this incredible charity.
