Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I do hope that you will feel able to sponsor me.
As you probably know I am doing this Bike Ride with sons Tom and Ed. We decided to support Macmillan Cancer Support as one of the organisations provided support to my sister, Joanna, who sadly died last year. We are each committed to raising £1250 each but are aiming for a minimum joint total of £3750 so we do not mind which of us you support but will be very grateful for anything that you are able to donate.
The boys' justgiving sites are at http://www.justgiving.com/tombritton and http://www.justgiving.com/edbritton So, we would be hugely grateful if you could please sponsor Tom , Ed or me - or all three of us - now!
You probably know something about the ride already if you have got this far - so if you do then you can skip this bit. It starts on 16th July at 7 a.m. in Blackheath, London and then takes us over 400km through Kent and northern France over that day and the next three finishing on Saturday 19th to massed crowds of adoring French women in the Champs-Elysee (well by then after four days in the saddle we will be fantasising I imagine).
We also have a blog at http://teambritton.blogspot.com/ which gives you some reports on our preparations to date and what we are up to. On each day of the ride itself we shall be updating it (assuming the strength to do so) so that you will be able to follow what we hope will be our progress.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
We shall be running a Car Boot sale stall, details of which will be posted here shortly. We would be delighted to see you and you might even find something you would like to buy ( for you - an enormous discount, of course).
Many thanks for your support.
