Story
Hi Everyone! I am really excited to be running the 2022 London Marathon for The Brain Tumour Charity. On the 21st February 2016 I lost my beautiful Mum, Amanda Shannon to a grade IV Glioblastoma brain tumour. After 18 months battling the disease, my incredible family and Mums special friends said their final goodbye to her. I want to raise funds for this special charity because hearing the words "death by diagnosis" is something we must work harder to stop. The Survival rate for brain tumour’s is only 11% and treatments have barely advanced in the last 40 years, as well as being woefully underfunded. I want to do my part in raising funds in Mum's name for a cause that needs more attention and support. Please donate what you can, and help this charity fund more research so that it becomes a treatable diagnosis.
I was originally pencilled in to run the 2020 London Marathon but due to several covid cancellations I have had to push it back to this October.. So many of you have already been so generous in donating back then so thank you for that!!
Although I need no added motivation to hit this target, any donation will push me on. Thank you so much for your support, Let's do this for Mandy!!
Love Ollie
