Story
Late in 2016, my Mum Frances was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. As Frances was seemingly so healthy and active right up until her diagnosis, the news was a huge shock.
Outcomes for the disease are extremely poor, particularly when it is diagnosed (as it often is) at a late stage. So I have decided to fundraise for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, a charity which funds research in this area.
During the last week in May and in July/August, I will spend 3 weeks walking between key places in Frances' life, joined by family and friends along the way. The start is in Hartburn, Stockton on Tees where she was born and the finish is in London, via Cheshire and Leicester. I am planning to walk around 20 - 25 miles per day, with a total distance (estimated currently) of approximately 400 miles.
There is a route for leg 1 here:

I will post updates of the entire route and progress on this page and on Facebook. If anyone would like to contribute, join in the walk or provide accommodation, all of those things would be great!
