Oliver Shaves His Head

Fundraising for Greenacres Rescue
£165
raised of £100 target
Oliver’s Head Shave, 23 March 2020
The current situation in the UK regarding the Corona Virus COVID 19 is posing a serious risk to the short and long-term future of Greenacres. We have set up this fund to use as a base for our supporters to help.

Story

A few days ago, Oliver said he wanted to raise money for charity while we were in isolation. After suggestions on family Facebook pages, he decided on Greenacres.

It is notoriously difficult to get Oliver to go to a hairdresser to have his hair cut, as he hates it. I was amazed when he said he wanted to shave his hair. He can’t wait to see how much it grows while he is off school. If we count how much it grows, can we say we’ve done maths work? His dad has even said he’ll shave his hair too in support.

Oliver knows that fundraising is an important part of keeping shelters like Greenacres running. He recently watched a series called Save Our Shelter on Netflix and loved seeing animals find their forever homes. He absolutely adores our cat, Molly, who we rehomed 4 years ago from a family friend.

He was sad to learn that because of the Coronavirus outbreak a lot of vital events have been cancelled, and he wanted to do something to help. If 200 people donate just 50p, he’ll reach his target.

Thanks for reading!
