Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are looking to raise money for Alzheimers, otherwise known as senile dementia. This disease is incurable, degenerative and can ultimatley be terminal. My Grandfather (Mark's father) Denis, lived with it for several years and we have seen at first hand the pain it can cause not only for the individual but for their families.
We have set ourself several challenges:
Mark:
Cycle 200miles across 2 days in North Carolina - USA (September 2010)
Cycle 160km around Lake Taupo (New Zealand) (November 2010)
Oli:
Run the Auckland half marathon (October 2010)
Cycle 160km around Lake Taupo (New Zealand) (November 2010)
Denis was a brilliant father and grandfather to us, loved a game of golf and enjoyed a glass of brandy. We are doing these challenges in his memory, and to raise money to ease the pain that Alzheimers can cause.
