Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to do take on this challenge in memory of my Dad, Darren Cooper, who sadly passed away in May last year. I have undertaken the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro to show that, however hard it may feel, no challenge could be as hard as the battle against Cancer.
For those who knew him, and for those who didn't, my father was an extraordinary man- he lifted the room whenever he walked in, and has been sorely missed by all who knew him. My Dad was adventurous and would always push himself to the limit; serving in the Army's REME corps for 24 years, undertaking tours in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Kosovo and fighting in two Iraq wars. He also completed a half marathon, climbed Snowdon and was a keen Sailor.
I am attempting to complete this challenge and raise funds for Dorothy house as they were fantastic with both my Dad and Mum- throughout his treatment and after he had passed.
I will be completing the climb October 16th-26th 2019. Any donations are greatly appreciated by both myself and Dorothy House. Thank you.

You may be wondering what the #700 challenge is? Well, the Dorothy House catchment area is 700sq miles so its an easy number to remember but a challenging number of things to commit to doing. That's the idea! I'm taking on the Dorothy House #700 Challenge to raise vital funds for their work and also have some fun along the way.Dorothy House provides care to people with a life-limiting illness, and their families and carers.
All care is free of charge and is available wherever and whenever it is needed. All teams work together to ensure that those they support can live well and die well. The hospice believes that death is a part of life and that everybody should receive outstanding palliative and end of life care.
By supporting me to do my #700 Challenge, you are helping to directly support the work of this vital charity, and enables them to be there for people when it really matters most.
