Story

Hi guys! Please support me and my little sister to raise money in memory of our friend Charlie Robinson who sadly lost his battle against a very aggressive brain tumour and passed away on the 7th April 2021 aged just five years old. My sister and I are doing a triathlon to raise as much money as we can to help accelerate vital research and find a cure for brain tumours.

Charlie was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour (Ependymoma stage 2) on 9th June 2018, aged just 2 years old. He endured a number of neurosurgical operations and despite going to Germany for Proton Beam Therapy the brain tumour came back and spread to other parts of his body. Throughout the whole ordeal he continued to smile and make everyone he met laugh with his cheeky antics, his lovely singing and his awesome thumbs up!  Charlie's family have been left devastated by his death and we can find no words to take away the pain so the only thing we feel we can do is to raise some much needed funds for the family's chosen charity- Brain Tumour Research.

Did you know that brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer? Yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. I was shocked by some of the statistics we have found.

I (Oliver Littlechild aged 12 years) will be doing an Olympic Standard Triathlon which will consist of 1500m swim, 40km bike ride and a 10km run. I will do this in one day wearing a watch to capture my times. My sister (Erin Littlechild aged 8) will be doing a super sprint triathlon which consists of a 500m swim, 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run. She will also do this in one day. We plan to do the above on a Sunday in May. We will pick the best day as the weather will need to be dry. We will of course keep everyone updated of the date and upload photos and videos of the day.

I hope as many of you as possible will get behind us and donate whatever you can to help us raise as much money as possible! We will keep you all updated on our mission! Thank you so much! Love Oliver and Erin Littlechild xx
