Story

A few year ago my wife's father, Ian Macmillan, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Sadly, in August 2022 Ian died as a result of this awful illness.

After witnessing first hand his dramatic degeneration of memory, ability to retain information, and devastating impact on himself and his family we felt it vital to raise money for the research going into prevention and potential cure of the disease.

Ian loved going to the pub for a few pints of Stones, spending time with Teddy (the family bearded collie) and in general being useful around the house. He was taken far too soon and the final few years of his life was harrowing for both him and his family.

Alzheimers Research UK are convinced that they can find a cure. Their mission is to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025. Their vision is a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.

Please give generously so that we can fund more research into this disease and put a stop to it.

Thanks,

Oli
