I’m taking on the 2019 London Marathon for the UK’s leading eating disorder charity Beat.
Most of you will know I’m not a runner and am a regular visitor to the McDonalds drive thru. Training for this will be a significant challenge, but I recognise how lucky I am to get a place for a cause I really value.
I have been aware of Beat and the great work they do for a few years now. Unfortunately, my sister has been battling an eating disorder for the majority of her teenage years. She is still battling and I feel proud of her everyday. I am taking on the challenge of running 26 miles, to show my support for her fight and for a charity that supports people like her everyday.
I’m a young guy who is probably seen to be very detached from these kind of illness’ so I think it’s important I do my bit to raise awareness for this great charity and the things they have done and continue to do to support those in need.
Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!
