Story
As some may know, in May of this year my youngest brother Barnaby, at the age of 12, was diagnosed with Non-hodgkin Lymphoma, a form of cancer. Thankfully, after the amazing work of the NHS, Barnaby has now gone into remission and is making a full recovery!
Cases of cancer in children are rare. There are about 1900 children diagnosised every year accounting for 1% of total cases of cancer in the UK. Unfortunately, because of these low cases, specific funding for support and research into childrens cancer is significantly lacking.
And so I have decided that over the course of september I will be running 85 miles, the number of children that are diagnosed with Non-hodgkin Lymphoma in the UK every year. I will be doing this in aid of Children with Cancer UK, a charity that is dedicated solely to fighting for children in their battle against cancer, making sure families are kept together.
I would hugely appreciate any support in any form as I raise funds and awareness for this awesome charity and the work they do against this cruel illness.
