Story

Hi, guys, thanks for coming and reading my page!

I'm Oli, I'm seventeen and in June, I'm going to be shaving my head to raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

I've always considered myself part of the goth subculture, so when I first heard Sophie's tragic story in 2007, I was shocked and upset to know that such intolerance still existed in Britain.

Earlier on this year, I decided that I was going to shave my head to let my natural hair grow back in, and I thought it would be a good idea to use my head-shaving to raise money for charity. That way, doing so would have so much more meaning.

I went through several charities with my mum before finally deciding that I would be doing it for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

So, if you can, please go ahead and donate. It's for a good cause, after all!

About the charity

Following the horrific murder of Sophie Lancaster, her family wanted to ensure a lasting legacy to their beautiful, bright creative daughter and so The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established and it became a registered charity in 2009. We do this through various means including education.
