Story

In September 2020, in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. Myself and many other students will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the worlds largest freestanding mountain.

Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity which aims to research and raise awareness of two serious diseases, Meningitis and Septicaemia. These are the second biggest infectious killers of children under five in the world. 2.8 Million people are diagnosed with  Meningitis and Septicaemia.

Meningitis Research Foundations work is providing better access to vaccines, health systems that can diagnose and treat children, and support to survivors of meningitis. With enough funding, they believe they can beat meningitis by 2030! Click the link below for more details.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
