Fundraising for Ashgate Hospice
Story

Ashgate Hospice have put out a winter crisis appeal and we want to help. Their website states ‘Despite operating around the clock to meet the growing and more complex needs of our community, less than a third of our total costs are covered by local health budgets. This means we still have to raise 72% of the funds we need to provide end of life care for desperately ill patients across North Derbyshire every year. For that, we urgently need your help - and this year more than ever.
From this, the children at Old Hall Junior School had a plan to raise lots of money and help them out. Each child will take part in a sponsored event and will run, walk or skip the distance from Old Hall to Ashgate Hospice (1.2miles). Our Year 5 and 6 pupils may even attempt to do the distance there and back.
This will take place at Old Hall Junior School on:
Year 6 = Monday 23rd November
Year 5 = Tuesday 24th November
Year 4 = Wednesday 25th November
Year 3 = Thursday 26th November
Please donate on here; however, we will also have donation buckets available at the end of each school day. We have set a huge target and are aiming to raise a whopping £1000!
Some children may even do their attempt in fancy dress!
