Story
Imagine the horror of losing a loved one and losing your home and then to have to try and come to terms with a radiation leak – it is almost unimaginable but that is exactly what some communities in Japan are trying to come to terms with right now…
My love of Japan started in 1996 when I lived in Osaka and was able to appreciate the kindness, generosity and graciousness of Japanese people. I am now married to a Japanese girl, Hiromi and we have 3 young boys. Some years ago we founded a company called The Japanese Shop and as a consequence have enjoyed doing business with Japanese people for many years now. We are literally an Anglo Japanese family that is lucky enough to benefit from both cultures.
We have all been horrified by recent events in Japan and whilst (thankfully) we have not lost anyone to the tsunami, some of our friends have, and we all continue to be extremely worried for our family and friends back in Japan. The frightening images of some of these poor people who have lost their family, their friends, their homes and had their lives torn apart by the earthquake has prompted us to try and help in some small way and it would be great if you would too - please donate now.
Thank you. Jez.
