Off the Shelf needs your help.  The festival relies on box office income to survive and this year we are once again offering a  programme of live on stage events in October and year round digital events.  Digital events are free of charge to view.  Please donate and help us to keep Off the Shelf sustainable and accessible for the people of Sheffield, for our staff and students, for children, for communities, for the authors we support, for readers and writers, for everyone who loves literature.  

The money we raise will go back to the Festival, to pay for the authors, the venues, the podcasts and digital events we have produced and the great content we are delivering. In supporting Off the Shelf, your donation will contribute to the cultural life of our beloved city and enable us to continue our work.  

This year Off the Shelf celebrates 33 years with a fantastic line up of live and on line events. 

We know that books, reading and conversations are more important to all of us now more than ever.  With the support of our partners in Sheffield city and Arts Council England, the team have worked hard to create an exciting, diverse and wide-ranging programme and are putting this out in October for you all to enjoy.
