Story
Testicular Cancer is the most common cancer to affect men between the ages of 15-49. However, if detected early, Testicular Cancer is one of the most curable cancers.
As a university ambassador myself for the OddBalls foundation, I deliver talks to schools, university teams and workplaces to help raise awareness of Testicular Cancer. We aim to break down the stigma associated with the disease and to encourage more young men to CHECK themselves on a monthly basis, and in doing so detect any problems early. We also use the donations to fit 'check yourself guides' in toilets and changing rooms around the UK.
As a trio, we will be competing in the IRONMAN 70.3 in Aix-en-Provence. This involves a 1.9km swim, 90.1km ride into a 21.1km run. Rosie will be also taking on the 100 mile (160km) Ride London cycling race and the 3 peaks in just 24 hours after this!
With only having one sprint triathlon under my belt and David having a slipped disc in his back, this is no easy challenge!
If you are able to donate, please do, it will truly be appreciated - I hope that this contribution can go a long way to help educate more men about testicular cancer and increase the number of people that survive this aggressive disease.
