Hello. My name is Oceana (Yes that was my name given to me at birth) so you could say I was born to be a Mermaid. This year I  will be representing Kent in the finals of Miss Mermaid UK 2018. As part of the event I have been given the opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Marine Conservation Society.

I am really excited to take part in the finals and just as excited to raise money for such a good cause. I have many idea's on how to raise funds and being so close to many coastal towns I plan to fundraise in as many of them as possible.

I hope to get local newspaper and radio coverage of the events that I do manage to plan and do and will be keeping this page updated frequently, so do come back and visit often.

I have also already booked onto 2 beach cleans with the MCS at a local beach, Pegwell Bay and do intend to be proactive in raising awareness of what the MCS do and the plight of our coastal waters.

The Mermaid Pageant is a fun event to take part in and hopefully that will come across in my just giving page.
