Story
Introducing "The Oarsome Foursome" Rachel Littlewood, Fiona Pownall, Dan Smith and David Cross.
The Oarsome Foursome will be competing in a Triathlon (The Samworth Challenge) in Loch Lomand - Scotland on the 8th June 2013
Forty teams on each of the first two Saturdays in June, the 1st and 8th, will race to complete the course on foot, in canoes and on bikes and to raise the most money for their chosen charities.
We are competing in the "Tough Route"
The challenge consists of;
45km Cross Country Mountain biking
12-15km climb/walk, with a height gain of 970m
10km canoe across the loch
Taking place for the first time in Scotland, the Samworth Challenge route will be an adventure race taking full advantage of Loch Lomond and the surrounding breath-taking scenery the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park has to offer.
The three previous Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge events have been an extraordinary success and have now raised over £850,000 to benefit charities both local to the events and nationwide. The charity challenge event and setting is the perfect vehicle to inspire and bring together the group’s employees, customers and suppliers, with the aim of getting as much out of it for the charities supported, as each individual will get on a personal level.
