Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Oakam for PEAS Charity JustGiving page.

'PEAS' is a UK-based charity Promoting Equality in African Schools.  They aim to delivery equal access to affordable quality secondary education in Uganda, Africa so that children have the opportunity to a better way of Life.  PEAS raise funds for the capital and start-up costs of building a school.  PEAS has built & runs 5 secondary schools in Uganda and the number of students enrolling has increased year-on-year - educating nearly 3,000 Ugandans who may otherwise not have gone to secondary school.

You may know one of the Oakam Trustees personally.  Our Chairman Paresh Mashru is Trustee & supporter of PEAS charity.

PEAS is a UK charity which aims to make a sustainable, long-term difference to the lives of African children. It does this through the foundation and development of low-fee secondary schools,helping vocation centred secondary education become available to a greater number of young Africans.
