Story
We are proud to announce that after a successful year of fundraising our nominated charity for the year 2017/2018 is once again ENABLE Scotland.
ENABLE Scotland was founded in Scotland in 1954. The charity fights discrimination and inequality, ensuring that people who have learning disabilities are regarded as equal members of society and have the same choices and opportunities in life as everyone else.
ENABLE Scotland provides a wide range of support services for people who have learning disabilities and their families. Since different people need support with different things, those services are designed to be flexible and are tailored to each individual. This could include:
• Support at home
• Support to find a job
• Support to make friends and meet new people
• Support to get more involved in the local community
• Support for families and carers
• Support to manage money
A large team of 20 NVT Group employees will be kicking off the fundraising year ahead by taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on Sunday 17th September. Walking a mixture of 5, 12 and 26 mile routes, our staff will be taking steps towards an equal society for every person who has a learning disability.
ENABLE Scotland will receive 100% of every penny you donate towards the Kiltwalk + an extra 40% thanks to The Hunter Foundation. Please donate whatever you can to support this worthwhile cause.
Thank you.
