As part of the University of Birmingham Islamic Society's Charity week, I will be participating in the Snowdon Trek to raise money for a 'water and sanitation project' for Bangladeshi citizens on Sunday the 13th November. 
Why donate?
Water is the most basic necessity of life. And yet an estimated 780 million people do not have access to safe, clean water. That’s one in ten people who have no choice but to drink and use contaminated water. This puts them at risk of diseases like dysentery, diarrhoea and cholera, which can be fatal. Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water related disease, making it the biggest cause of disease and death in the world.
No human being should have to go without access to safe, clean water.
The average person in the UK uses 150 litres of water a day. This includes you!
Meanwhile, 60% of the Bangladeshi population have no access to clean water.
You can make a difference by donating to this project which aims to provide vital water resources.
Where will your money go?
All of the proceeds raised during this sponsored climb will be going towards this crucial project.
Human Appeal aim to provide water necessities to those living in the Hoar region. It is especially important for this region and its inhabitants due to its flood proneness, low literacy rate and poor infrastructure. The cost of the whole project is £25,000.
You will contribute towards installing household latrines, tube-wells and educating the community as a whole.
