nuron tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for The Rivers Trust
nuron is taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on the 21st May 2022!
What is it?
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside (in the Yorkshire Dales) and is a route of 24 miles (38.6 km) and includes 1,585 m (5,200 ft) of ascent, with an aim to complete in under 12 hours.
Why are we doing it?
We’re raising money for The River’s Trust. Here’s an excerpt from The Rivers Trust:
“The Rivers Trust are conservation experts with a wealth of data and expertise at our fingertips. We work with our member Trusts to make our shared vision a reality: wild, healthy, natural rivers, valued by all.
We want all life to thrive in and around our rivers. Whether you enjoy fishing, swimming or a riverside stroll, our rivers need us more than ever to recover and revive.
With our expertise, reach and our member Trusts’ local knowledge, we work with farmers, government and businesses to provide advice and resources for their communities.
We bring together the people, knowledge, data and intelligence to help rivers thrive again; for us and future generations.”
