We fund private mental health support to help those facing a Duchenne diagnosis

Story

Take an old couple and an even older car, add in over 4000 miles of driving and this is the result. A trip round the coast of mainland Britain in Numbum, our 1937 MG TA.

It's long been an ambition of mine to make this trip and this is the year it will happen. With an expected distance of 150 miles per day it will take a while but we're going to have fun and enjoy the sights.

As we're going anyway, we thought it would be good to try to raise some money for a good cause. There are so many good causes that we couldn't decide on one so we passed the buck. We've been in contact over the years with previous owners of the TA so we gave them the choice and this is it.

The provisional start date is 22nd July 2016. Will we make it all the way in a 79 year old car? I've done a lot of preparation on the car and it's running fine so I'm not expecting problems, but you never know!

I've set up a website with a blog which will be updated when we can. http://www.numbum-round-britain.co.uk/ so you can keep up to date with what's going on.

Spread the word and let's raise some serious cash for this worthy cause.
