Story
On the 4th June 8 of us will be walking in the 5 mile Bridgewater walk
20th-21st June Snowdon hike, 8 members of the team will be climbing Snowdon in the dark to watch a beautiful sunrise.
This is one of many events the Lymphoma and Haematology teams will be joining forces and taking part in order to raise vital funds for the Christie.
The Christie charity supports the both teams and in the past this has included essential posts and research. The teams at The Christie have an international reputation in clinical trials research to develop novel treatments for lymphoma and blood cancer patients, both to improve cure rates and to prolong good quality life in individuals whose disease is resistant to conventional treatments. The teams have a large portfolio of clinical trials and generous donations have allowed us to invest in this research which has led to the development of new therapies and innovative ways to treat Lymphoma and Blood Cancer. Ultimately, the research undertaken at The Christie will be disseminated widely for the benefit of these patients the world over. By helping us fund posts and research like this, you can help make these latest treatment methods a reality. And therefore, help to improve patient outcomes and care.
