Story
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page.
I am a part time amateur streamer, back in 2020 I lost my Mum, Carol, to a horrible cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma.
It is a very rare cancer that affects the Bile Ducts, not many people find out they have it until it is in a very late stage (my Mum was in this category).
Survival of this terrible condition is very rare, only if it is caught early can it be surgically removed (and only if its a mass, this cancer can also be cellular), most people have a 3 month life expectancy, my Mum battled it for 6.
When my Mum passed my family decided to dedicate ourselves to fundraise to try and help the AMMF save a life, to make Mum proud, and so that her battle will not have been in vain.
We set MICA Travels up in October of 2020, with a goal to achieve £15,000 raised by 2025.
Last March 2 friends and I did a 24 hour stream, just to see if there would be any help out there, and raised a staggering £700 for the cause. My clan supported this whole heartedly and after seeing the response, selflessly said to make this an annual event. This year, the same friends are helping me (Ian and Ryan) amongst a host of other clan members rallying the flag for the cause.
To date MICA Travels has raised around £6800, far more than we thought would be achieved in such a small time.
Last time, we did all sorts of challenges for the charity stream, people donated for random loadouts, to take them through difficult content, to play while on an exercise bike etc.
This year there will be more challenges, a spinwheel system for people to donate to spin and we will have to follow what the wheel says, we will open up the floor for things like playing a PVP match blindfolded with a team mate directing me over the stream, more high level content help, anything really to help others and to help raise awareness for the AMMF.
So please do swing by on the 26th of March, we will be starting at 10am and playing through until 11am on the 27th March (the clocks change that night, so we need to add an hour to the end time)

Thank you for any help in advance, your donations may very well be the one that funds a breakthrough for curing this cancer!
