Story
Hi everyone!
As you may know, over recent years I facebook fundraise in aid of my birthday for the Salvation Army..So last year(2020), I were the ripe age of 32 and I wanted to fundraise again for my birthday with a twist..
I started fundraising to jump out of a (perfectly good) plane at 15,000ft and free-falling at a speed of up to 120mph, all for the local Salvation Army - BARTON UPON HUMBER Corp.
I have personally paid for the video so to those who have donated can see I did it haha!
Thankyou to all that have sponsored.
14months on... Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and adverse weather conditions I have finally jumped!
Date of jump Saturday 10th April 2021
My Salvation Army background: Started when I moved and attended the Sally Anne's Toddler Group in Queens Street back in 2015 with Theo, I then became a volunteer assisting in the Toddler group then supported the transition to the new Corp on Tofts Road in which I started volunteering the weekly programme and then recently became the Community Programme Worker back in August 2019.
As a recipient of the love, spiritual support, and acceptance of Salvation Army officers, we started attending the monthly cafe church, Sunday services and my son also started attending Sunday school which challenges and encourages us in our faith, and also provided hope in my dark times.. I see things in a different perspective and am embracing the path that is set out before us.
