In memory of Christopher Henry Tickle
We fund research into spinal cord injury to find a cure for spinal injury paralysis

Story

In September 2009, Christopher Henry Tickle, our son, suffered a severe neck injury when a rugby scrum collapsed. He died in hospital three weeks later. Christopher was a highly popular 23 year-old with a great love of life and sports, an infectious sense of humour and a willingness to help and support others. His legacy has been to inspire a wide range of fund-raising activities to support research into spinal injuries. The Christopher Tickle Fund has joined up with the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation and all funds raised in Christopher’s name will be channelled towards this vitally important research.

Christopher, lived with us in Tyldesley Manchester for 23 years, he played rugby for Eccles RFC and was posthumously awarded The Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award on 16th March 2010 by HRH Prince Philip.

On 24th May 2010 The Christopher Tickle Fund presented a cheque for £17000 to The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation, Bill Beaumont presented the cheque which was received by Ieuan Evans on behalf of The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.
Please help us raise our new target of £10000 over the next twelve months, thank you all for your continued support.
