Story
We are a team of staff from King's Ely who have chosen to take part in the Cambridge half marathon virtual "Run Everyone" event from 1st to 31st March 2021. We are fundraising collectively for the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge as it is a cause very dear to us as a school and one that has a special meaning for very many of us. The hospice supports people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and it costs them £8.56 million a year to operate their services. These are provided free of charge to those who need their vital care and support in our local community hence the hospice need our donations so they are able to continue with their incredible work. Some staff have set running targets for mileage over the month with a number aiming for over 100 miles, others are novice runners who are keen to contribute what they can to the challenge and the fundraising. As we always are as a school, this challenge is inclusive and everyone is supporting each other to do their best and meet their goals. We do hope that you will recognise our efforts and support us by making a donation to our chosen charity, it would mean a great deal to us and make a huge difference to the families who need Arthur Rank Hospice's valuable services. With sincere thanks from us all, Gary, Helen M, Jon, Simon, Lizzy, Nick, Chanre, Loveday, Susannah, Pat, Nell, Richard, Mel, Neil, Liz, Helen O, Stephen, Natasha, Hugh and Dan.
