Story
In 2021 we took Nova and Mars around the North Coast 500 in Scotland and with it being the festive season at the time of the start of this challenge, what better time to think about giving something back to less fortunate dogs, who do not get to go on such adventures.
Having done the NC 500 and with Nova and Mars being Siberian Huskies, it seemed right to pick the NC 500 virtual challenge through The Conqueror Challenges and to do the challenge for the brilliant 8 Below Husky Rescue. Siberian Huskies are an increasingly popular breed due to programmes like Game of Thrones, yet many such owners are not ready for the demands and activity levels owning a Husky entails, once the cute puppy phase is over. Many Huskies are therefore sadly neglected or abandoned and that is where 8 Below come in to save these wonderful dogs. Read their mission statement here:

Follow Nova and Mars on Instagram @nova_mars_racing as they hike and train and compete in Parkrun, Canicross and Bikerjor with every mile counting towards the 500 mile virtual route. We should even be on the actual route once more again this year! We are aiming to raise £1 for each mile travelled along the NC 500 for this great charity and the countless Huskies in need.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe, as they never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they send your money directly to 8 Below so it is the most efficient way to donate, saving time and cutting costs for 8 Below.
Thank you for reading and hopefully you can donate a little to this cause.
