Story
MRI is essential to many Radiotherapy treatments.
The images taken by the MRI are fused with the patients Radiotherapy scans and allow more defined and therefore more effective planning.
Currently the Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre does not have its own MRI scanner and patients have to wait to have access to another MRI not located near our department. Often this means having another journey to the hospital and a longer wait.
Our ultimate goal is to raise £2 million, and as staff working within the Radiotherapy Department we are aware of how important this equipment is to our patients care.
The staff in the department have been taking part in many events since September 2016 to raise money for our fund. Have a look through our feed to see photos of what we've been upto!
