Story

On 3 January 2017, Vicki and James Woodall experienced every parents worst nightmare when they were told by doctors at The Royal Marsden that their four-year-old son had a rare type of cancer. Although heartbroken, Vicki and James were inspired to make a positive difference to the lives of children with cancer by raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and so George and the Giant Pledge was born. The Woodall familys inspirational story has engaged over 13,000 donors so far, with as many as 50,000 people reading their Facebook blog posts every night, as they work towards smashing their target of £1,000,000. All donations to George and the Giant Pledge will help support other families coping with childhood cancer, and will help the Charity to continue to support much-needed research into childrens cancer.
