Story
A caring friend to Cumbrian families at the hardest of times, Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland has provided end of life care at home for thousands of people since it was established in 1997.
The Cumberland & Westmorland Herald and the Keswick Reminder have joined forces with Hospice at Home in a campaign aimed at raising £10,000 to support the vital work of this locally-focused charity.
“In the coming weeks we will tell the stories of those whose lives have been touched by Hospice at Home, and talk to the people whose caring work keeps its vital services running -- from nurses and therapists to counsellors,” said Herald and Reminder editor Emily Atherton.
We want to hear about your fundraising exploits too - if you plan to hold an event or decided to get sponsored for an exploit - email emilya@barrnonmedia.com and let us know!
Hospice at Home’s services are available to residents across 1,500 square miles of rural Cumbria, with 80 per cent of running costs met by public donations and fundraising.
We couldn't have launched this appeal without the support of our sponsors.
