Story
Poppy came into North Herts Cats Protection’s care heavily pregnant after a member of the public said she had been living in her garden for some time as a stray. Within 2 days of arriving, she gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens.
Sadly, they were later diagnosed with cat flu, and needed multiple courses of treatment due to their reoccurring symptoms. Eventually, the kittens were well enough to go to their new homes.
Whilst in care, our fosterer noticed that Mum, Poppy was walking strangely and an X-ray found that she was suffering from a luxating patella (a dislocating kneecap), which requires an operation.
This operation is going to cost a minimum of £2,000, and for such a young cat (3-4 years of age) it is felt that she cannot suffer long term without this being corrected.
Poppy is a sweet little girl who has been an amazing mother, now it is her turn to have all the attention before a forever home is found.
This is where we need your help and support, can you donate to help fund Poppy’s knee operation to get her back on her feet again?
Any help big or small will make such a difference to Poppy’s care and will help our branch fund the much needed operation.
Thank you for all your help, our branch cannot help cats in the local area without generous supporters like you.
Any donations raised over the cost of Poppy’s operation will go towards other cats in care at North Herts Cats Protection Branch.
