Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

Hi All, thanks for coming to my Just giving page.

Myself and my colleagues are going to be climbing a small
mountain in Africa called Kilimanjaro. None of us are in a state where we can
do this already so we will be training long and hard for it.

I am hoping to raise as much money along the way for Cancer
Research, treatments and recovery. We have all heard and read about someone
with cancer and it can cost a family a small fortune, especially when the
cancer sufferer needs to travel overseas to have treatment for their condition.

Cancer has effect my Mother who is having treatment and my
little Sister who has beaten cancer twice and close friends past and present,
so when I was asked if I wanted to join my colleagues to climb that small
mountain it was a no brainer. It seems everyone you speak to knows someone that
is suffering and if there is anything we can do to try and come up with a cure
for this disease then I think we should.

With your help we would  like to help raise money for
ward 19 at Heartlands Hospital  which has become the 2
nd

Hospital in England to use the DKMS system on patients that blood refers to as
defects in the blood-forming system, which means the blood can no longer
perform its tasks. There are three main groups blood cancer (leukaemia, multiple
myeloma and malignant lymphoma), each of which has many sub-types.

I will be taking a period of time off work to do this
fundraiser, and I will have to put my body through more training than I have
ever done, so I  be so grateful if you could give as much or as little as
you can, for this is a great cause. I will be putting literally my mind and my
body on the line, pushing it to the limit, all for this AMAZING cause and I
hope you give a little bit in return.

PLEASE O PLEASE REMEMBER TO GIFT AID, AS IT DOES MAKE A
GREAT HUGE DIFFERENCE.
