Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

I'll be running the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 24th October. I did my last half marathon 16 years ago and it will be a lot harder now!

This will raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation which grants magical wishes to children facing life threatening illnesses.

As a parent, I can understand how devastating it must be to have a child with a life threatening illness and how amazing it must be to make the child's wish come true.

I can remember also as a kid how disappointing it was when Jim'll Fix It didn't reply to our letters.

Go on, be a Jimmy Saville and dig deep, you could make a sick child's wish come true.
